Terms of Service

These terms form an agreement between you and Airbnb Safety Checklist, 880 N St # 301, Anchorage, Alaska 99501, United States (“we”, “us”), for your use of Airbnb Safety Checklist (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them.
1. Independence from Airbnb
Airbnb Safety Checklist is an independent resource and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Airbnb, Inc. “Airbnb” is a trademark of Airbnb, Inc. and is used only to describe the type of rental the Service supports.
2. What the Service is — and isn't
The Service helps you organise, assign and record safety checks and generate reports. It is a record-keeping tool. It is not legal advice, a safety inspection, a certification of compliance or a substitute for qualified professionals such as fire risk assessors, Gas Safe engineers or electricians. Templates reflect general guidance and may not match the rules where your property is. You are responsible for knowing and meeting the laws, licence conditions and insurance requirements that apply to you.
3. Accounts
You must be 18 or over and provide accurate information. Keep your login secure; you're responsible for activity on your account. On Pro, you're responsible for the people you invite to your workspace.
4. Your responsibilities for assignees and photos
- Only assign checklists to people who have agreed to receive them, and tell them how their data will be used.
- Secure checklist links are personal — treat them like passwords, and reset them if they're shared.
- Photos must show equipment and the property, never guests. Do not use the Service to record or monitor guests.
- For personal data about your assignees, you are the controller and we process it on your behalf under our data processing terms (available on request).
5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the Service: no unlawful content, no attempts to access other accounts or break security, no automated scraping, and no use that could harm the Service or other users.
6. Plans, billing and cancellation
- The Free plan is limited as described on our pricing page.
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, and renew automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel any time from Billing; your plan stays active until the end of the paid period.
- Plan changes take effect immediately with prorated charges or credits.
- Refunds are handled as required by law. UK consumers keep their statutory rights.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next billing period.
7. Your content
You own the content you upload. You give us a licence to host, process and display it only to provide the Service. We delete it as described in our Data Retention Policy and Privacy Policy.
8. Availability
We work hard to keep the Service available and your data safe, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Download reports you need for legal or insurance purposes and keep your own copies.
9. Disclaimers
Except as required by law, the Service is provided “as is”. We don't warrant that using the Service will make a property safe or legally compliant, or that any report will be accepted by an insurer, authority or court.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that can't be limited by law. Otherwise, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or loss of business, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Suspension and termination
You can close your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, with notice where reasonable.
12. Changes and law
We may update these terms and will give notice of material changes. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction — but if you're a consumer you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws where you live.
